The Government set up a commission to draw up a plan for citizen participation

The Government today approved the establishment of an interdepartmental commission that will prepare the Citizen Participation Plan 2008-2010 with the objective of designing the strategic lines and lines of work to promote the participation of citizens in public policy.
The committee realized the financial support, personnel and logistics to be devoted to each initiative to promote participation, to enhance participatory processes, as was done on the occasion of the Statute, the law of social services or the law of childhood.
The interdepartmental commission consists of representatives of the Secretariat of Institutional Relations and Participation, the secretariat of the Catalan government, and the overall direction of Citizen Participation, as well as one person from each conselleria of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
